This publication documents how 16 Regional Flagship TVET Institutes in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania have transformed skills training through strong industry partnerships under EASTRIP—boosting enrolment, employability, and regional integration.

It highlights how structured, industry-led partnerships have transformed technical training—raising student enrolment from fewer than 7,000 in 2019 to nearly 58,000 in 2025, boosting graduate employment rates, and embedding innovation and relevance into curricula. Through case studies across key sectors—including transport, manufacturing, energy, ICT, and tourism—the report showcases best practices in aligning TVET with labour market needs, co-creating demand-driven programs, and advancing regional integration.
