KIHBT trainers in Ethiopia at General Wingate Polytechnic College for staff exchange

As part of regional Integration, KIHBT signed a Cooperation Agreement with General Wingate Polytechnic College (GWPTC). One of the key areas of collaboration is staff exchange. In the previous month, four (4) trainers were sent for an exchange program which was aimed at sharing knowledge, skills, experience, educational system, exchange of policies & training practices.

 


(Industry visit to ADAMA II Wind Farm)

The trainers were attached to Roads, Mechanical and Electrical Departments and were exposed to a different education system & assessment method, new pedagogy ideas which brings in an international perspective regarding the mode of delivery in the classrooms both practically and theoretically and curriculum comparison. Besides training of students, through the host, the staff conducted Industry visits to Selam Industry college and Adam II Wind Farm Ethiopia. During the visit, they got exposed to how GWPTC has been formulating and reinforcing their Industry Linkages networks over the years.

Additionally, the staff exchange program fostered technology transfer, networking amongst the trainers of both institutes and exposed them to cultural diversity.
