Ethiopa and World Bank Team in joint performance review

The Government of Ethiopia and the World Bank held a two day workshop for the Annual Joint Portfolio Performance Review.

The State Minister from Minister of Finance  H.E Semereta Sewasew, H.E State Minister Dr Beker Shale from Ministry of Labour and Skills and  the World Bank delegation  led by Mr. Kirill Vasiliev were in full attendance. The East Africa Skills for Transformational and Regional Integration project (EASTRIP); Ethiopia component was presented by the National Project cCordinator Mrs Kalkidan Tadesse.

As the midlife span of the project has been reached the Project Coordinator highlighted that despite the great achievements the Polytechnic Colleges have reported. However are some challenges that the project is still facing; and  the Government’s cross ministerial support and intervention is needed for the success of this project.

Dr Beker Shale re- affirmed his Ministries  continued commitment to EASTRIP as the importance of skill development and employability of our young generation has never been a priority to the economic success of Ethiopia as it has now.
