The Arusha Technical college, through EASTRIP project organized a workshop to develop basic and professional short courses in renewable energy field. The workshop involved academic staff from ATC, people from various industries including Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO), RESCO (T) LTD, Tanzania Renewable Energy Authority (TAREA), Vocational Education Training Authority (VETA) and Centre for Agricultural Mechanization and Rural Technology (CAMARTEC) and Power Electronics and Controls LTD.
The courses are expected to range from two weeks, four weeks, twelve weeks and six months. All developed professional courses will be accredited by Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) which is an autonomous multi-sectoral regulatory authority.
