The Simulator has been a gamechanger in the training of plant operator as the technology aims at honing trainees with skills before stepping onto the actual training ground and construction site which contributes highly towards training efficiency.
During the recent commissioning of the newly acquired training equipment at the campus, the Cabinet Secretary Roads and Transport Davis Chirchir urged the institute to strive to remain relevant in the current state of growth technology and digital space.

Newly acquired equipment’s: Dozer and Sheepsfoot Roller
Acquisition of this equipment has encouraged the increase in enrolment of students s well as enhance access to training and expand the pool of skilled workforce in the country and East Africa at large. In the past KIHBT has attracted trainees from Uganda and Sudan for the plant operator course.
