New Students At DIT-Mwanza Campus Visit Mwanza City on Familiarisation Tour

Newly admitted students of the academic year 2023/2024 at the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) – Mwanza had the opportunity to visit various areas in Mwanza. The tour aimed at familiarize the students with essential social service areas, including places of worship, health facilities, bus stands, government offices, and security areas.

The student warden at DIT Mwanza Joseph Yona explained that the tour was meant to acquaint the new students with the city.

“We have decided to take our new students to all the important areas with social services in this city, because most of them are not familiar with Mwanza, we believe from today, they will know where to access these services without any trouble,” said Yona.

The new students led by their class representatives Gabriel Pascal, Grace Simuli and Samwel Joshua also expressed their joy about the tour and requested the DIT Mwanza Campus Management considers regular visits to different areas including outside Mwanza City for a better understanding of their locality.

The tour that lasted approximately 5 hours involved students from the departments of; Laboratory Science Technology, Leather Product Technology, and Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) at both certificate and diploma levels.
