The construction works at the Maritime campus are in week 62 with 65% of the construction works done. The campus has three main facilities namely the Maritime Centre, Catering Centre and the STCW pool. Water reticulation works are also ongoing to ensure adequate provision of water in the Maritime campus. The contactor, Chinajiangxi International Limited is working hard to deliver the Centre by 30th June 2024 under the supervisory firm Symbion International. This will pave way to starting of operations at the campus

Other preparations to make the campus operational are underway. For instance, Modern equipment including simulators have been delivered awaiting completion of the Maritime campus as well as developing market driven curriculum to be implemented in the campus. This campus is poised to attract trainees from within the region that wish to pursue Maritime courses and revolutionalize Maritime training in Eastern Africa.
