Former Arusha Technical College Student excels in Energy Sector

Arusha Technical College (ATC) students for many years have been in a good position for employment in formal and non-formal sectors after graduating, findings have revealed.

Tracer study findings on the employment outcomes of ATC graduates for 2022 show that About 170 graduates were employed at the time of the interview, majority being employed in contract basis of these who were employed 143 (28%) were males and 27 (5%) were females.

As a matter of testimony, a graduate from ATC namely Malaki Z. Sakaya, graduated in the year 2017 with a National Vocational Award in Electrical installation is currently employed at Tanzania Electric Supply Company Ltd as Specific Task Employee.

“Currently I am working at Tanzania Electric Supply Company as a Specific Task Employee and being paid for that since 2019, I was employed following the skills that I was able to demonstrate before the Company and the good history of trainings from ATC” Mr. Malaki explained.

Among the duties that he performs include domestic electrical installation and wiring. He says that he can now manage to afford family basic needs and save money for other development issues at the family level.
