Dire Dawa Polytechnic College in Ethiopia provided short term training for experts selected from industries that have signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the College. The training has carried out for 90 hours on advanced welding; Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and Arc welding.

During the training, it was observed that the experts/trainees were actively engaged in the practical skills training and they noted that such training will improve their skills in weilding. Moreover, the industries management members visited their experts while training and they explained that this mutual collaboration will strength industrial-institutions linkage.
