Arusha Technical College Signs Contract For Construction of Regional TVET Institute in Renewable Energy

Arusha Technical College, through the World Bank-funded EASTRIP Project, has signed a Contract for the construction of the regional TVET centre of excellence in Renewable Energy in East and Central Africa at Kikuletwa Campus, Kilimanjaro Region.

The contract signing took place at Kikuletwa Campus on 26 October 2022 between Arusha Technical College and two construction companies, CRJE East Africa LTD and Salem Construction LTD, was witnessed by staff of Arusha Technical College. The construction is expected to be completed in one year upon commencement.

Under the Contracts, CRJE (East Africa) LTD will build Student’s Hostel Blocks, Adult Accommodation Block and associated external works with the capacity of accommodating 600 students.

Salem Construction LTD will build Classroom Blocks, Lecture theatre Block, Workshops and associated External works.

Arusha Technical College is one of the beneficiaries of the World Bank EASTRIP Project where Tshs37billion was set for transforming Kikuletwa Campus to a centre of excellence in Renewable Energy in East and Central Africa.
